Cross the heart of the United States on the legendary Mother Road, from Chicago to the shores of Santa Monica. An iconic journey through retro gas stations, neon-lit motels, and the endless horizons of the Oklahoma plains and the Grand Canyon. Experience absolute freedom on two wheels on the road that defined motorcycle culture forever.    

Detailed Itinerary

📍 DAY 1 – Arrival in Chicago

Arrival in Chicago. A day for rest and sightseeing: stroll through downtown, visit Navy Pier, and admire the world-famous Chicago River architecture. Motorcycle prep and final route planning. Overnight in Chicago.

 

📍 DAY 2 – Chicago → Springfield (Illinois)

Approx. distance: 320 km

The first leg on the authentic Route 66. We’ll ride through historic small towns and hamlets as we push toward Springfield, the state capital and home of Abraham Lincoln. Overnight in Springfield.

 

📍 DAY 3 – Springfield → Cuba (Missouri)

Approx. distance: 340 km

Riding through rolling rural landscapes and classic Route 66 backroads. Arrival in Cuba, Missouri, famous for its outdoor murals and nostalgic "Roadside America" atmosphere. Overnight in Cuba.

 

📍 DAY 4 – Cuba → Joplin (Missouri)

Approx. distance: 365 km

A journey through the heart of Missouri, featuring stops at historic diners and vintage gas stations. Arrival in Joplin, a city with a rich mining history and iconic Route 66 landmarks. Overnight in Joplin.

 

📍 DAY 5 – Joplin → Oklahoma City (Oklahoma)

Approx. distance: 410 km

The route cuts through eastern Oklahoma, revealing wide-open landscapes and quintessential Route 66 towns. Arrival in Oklahoma City, the state capital, known for its historic Bricktown and Western culture. Overnight in Oklahoma City.

 

📍 DAY 6 – Oklahoma City → Amarillo (Texas)

Approx. distance: 550 km

A long "iron-butt" stage crossing the heart of the Texas Panhandle, with vast prairies and infinite skies. Arrival in Amarillo, famous for the Cadillac Ranch and legendary Texan hospitality. Overnight in Amarillo.

 

📍 DAY 7 – Amarillo → Albuquerque (New Mexico)

Approx. distance: 513 km

Riding southwest into the "Land of Enchantment," crossing deserts and historic outposts. Arrival in Albuquerque, featuring its charming Old Town and classic Southwest adobe architecture. Overnight in Albuquerque.

 

📍 DAY 8 – Albuquerque → Winslow (Arizona)

Approx. distance: 465 km

A desert ride through Arizona with mandatory stops at iconic landscapes and retro diners. Arrival in Winslow, made famous by the Eagles song ("Standing on the Corner") and its historic vibe. (Optional: Add an extra day to visit the Grand Canyon). Overnight in Winslow.

 

📍 DAY 9 – Winslow → Kingman (Arizona)

Approx. distance: 341 km

A scenic stage surrounded by red rock formations and authentic Route 66 towns. Arrival in Kingman, the heart of Arizona's most famous historic stretch. (Optional: Add an extra day to visit Las Vegas). Overnight in Kingman.

 

📍 DAY 10 – Kingman → Roy’s Motel & Café (California)

Approx. distance: 150 km

A shorter stage but packed with Route 66 icons. Arrival at the legendary Roy’s Motel & Café in Amboy—a must-stop for photos and the ultimate vintage Americana experience. Overnight in the Amboy area.

 

📍 DAY 11 – Roy’s Motel → Santa Monica (California)

Approx. distance: 320 km

The final grand stage through the Mojave Desert and into the California coast. We reach Santa Monica Pier, the official "End of the Trail" overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Time to celebrate at the beach. Overnight in Santa Monica.

 

📍 DAY 12 – Santa Monica & Los Angeles

A day for relaxation and sightseeing in Santa Monica or Los Angeles. Enjoy the beach, some shopping, and California’s diverse culinary scene. Overnight in Santa Monica.

 

📍 DAY 13 – Heading Home

Transfer from Santa Monica to the airport for your flight home. End of the journey.
