Detailed Itinerary
📍 DAY 1 – Arrival in Edinburgh
Arrival in Edinburgh. Free day to enjoy the city: walk the Royal Mile, visit Edinburgh Castle, and enjoy dinner in a traditional Scottish pub. Overnight in Edinburgh.
📍 DAY 2 – Train to Inverness & Route Prep
After a comfortable train journey to Inverness, motorcycle pickup and luggage adjustment. Time to get familiar with the bike and plan the upcoming stages. Overnight in Inverness.
📍 DAY 3 – Inverness → Applecross → Cape Wrath
Approx. distance: 220 km
Departure toward the Applecross peninsula, riding the famous Bealach na Bà, a legendary mountain pass. We continue toward Cape Wrath, the northwesternmost point of mainland Scotland, offering wild Atlantic views. Overnight in the Northern Highlands.
📍 DAY 4 – Cape Wrath → Dunnet Head → Duncansby Lighthouse → John o'Groats
Approx. distance: 250 km
Heading east along the rugged northern coast: a stop at Dunnet Head, the true northernmost point of the British mainland, then on to Duncansby Head Lighthouse with its stunning sea stacks and North Sea views. The day ends at the iconic John o'Groats. Overnight in or around John o’Groats.
📍 DAY 5 – John o'Groats → Dunrobin Castle → Durness
Approx. distance: 180 km
Ride toward Dunrobin Castle, a majestic stately home with French-inspired gardens. The journey continues toward Durness on the northwest coast, traversing mountain landscapes and lonely white-sand beaches. Overnight in Durness.
📍 DAY 6 – Durness → Isle of Skye → Falls of Measach → Gairloch
Approx. distance: 210 km
Heading south toward the Isle of Skye area, visiting its iconic landscapes and winding roads. We stop at the Falls of Measach, one of Scotland’s most impressive waterfalls located in the Corrieshalloch Gorge. Continuation to the picturesque coastal village of Gairloch. Overnight in Gairloch.
📍 DAY 7 – Gairloch → Inverness
Approx. distance: 207 km
The final riding stage back to Inverness via scenic Highland roads, crossing rolling hills, lochs, and deep glens, completing the North Coast loop. Overnight in Inverness.
📍 DAY 8 – Inverness → Edinburgh
Return to Edinburgh by train or car. Free day to enjoy the city’s charm and celebrate the end of your motorcycle adventure. Overnight in Edinburgh.
📍 DAY 9 – Heading Home
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport for the return flight. End of the journey.
