Discover towns steeped in pirate history, empty roads, endless beaches, and sunsets that seem to set the sky on fire. A short, intense, and wild escape—perfect for feeling freedom in its purest form. Detailed Itinerary

📍 DAY 1 – Entering Cabo de Gata

Almería → Cabo de Gata → Níjar → San José

Approx. distance: 110–130 km

Departure from Almería heading southeast, following the coast to the iconic Cabo de Gata, one of the most impressive volcanic landscapes in the Mediterranean. The route continues inland into the Natural Park to the white-washed village of Níjar, renowned for its traditional crafts and architecture. Afterward, we head back toward the coast, riding through volcanic scenery until reaching San José, considered the heart of the Natural Park. Overnight in San José.

 

📍 DAY 2 – The Wild Coast of the Park

San José → Las Negras → Agua Amarga → Carboneras → Mojácar → Garrucha

Approx. distance: 130–150 km

The day continues along the coastline of the Natural Park to Las Negras, a small fishing village surrounded by volcanic cliffs. The road carries on to Agua Amarga, one of the most beautiful and peaceful villages in the area. Next, we pass through Carboneras, where the well-known El Algarrobico can be seen. The route continues to the spectacular white village of Mojácar, perched on a hilltop overlooking the Mediterranean. The stage concludes in Garrucha. Overnight in Garrucha or Mojácar.

 

📍 DAY 3 – Returning Through the Desert Heartland

Garrucha → Carboneras → Venta del Pobre → Campohermoso → Almería

Approx. distance: 110–130 km

The final day returning to Almería, crossing the interior of the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park. The route leaves the coast at Carboneras and heads into arid, volcanic landscapes via Venta del Pobre and Campohermoso—lonely desert roads that showcase the wilder side of the Natural Park. Final arrival in Almería. End of the journey.
